The Triangle Tennis Academy was established in 2008 and currently owned by coach Kabiru Ibrahim, he is a professional tennis coach and former ATP/ITF pro. Coach Kabiru’s passion and vision for tennis has led him to offering a full-service tennis academy. Camps, customized training, advanced junior programs, tournament groups, ladder matches, summer camps, private, group, adult and team lessons. New students should contact for an evaluation and assessment. Clinics or Matchplay Clinics, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30pm to 6:00pm in Durham, NC. Private lessons are personalized tennis sessions with Coach Kabiru. The sessions are generally for individual personal analysis and mostly works on player's personal progression and development. Lessons are generally broken down into several sessions for each player, and based on expectations or goals, long or short term, Coach K will customize lessons to meet each players needs.
Sign UpClinic are generally for playersor groups of players, betweeen 4 to 8 players looking for matchplay or pointplay with students or players. The clinic environment facilitates variety and opportunity for each individual to practice against other players with different styles of play. Clinics are generally for those looking for a group experience and also the opportunity to learn or compete with others.
Sign UpFull time students at Triangle Tennis Academy committed to a full time program enjoy a 5-6 day/week of tennis program that provides lessons, match play, and a yearly guide to long term goals. The full time players have unlimited access to training and generally have more court time with Coach K. Full time players have a weekly 5 day commitment to both lessons and matchplay hours with tournament supervision by request.

Coach Kabriu Ibrahim has been working with our son since he was 10 years old. In this time we have seen incredible growth both on and off the court. Coach Kabiru is patient, creative and individually tailors his plan for each of his students. He consistently finds a way to bring out each student’s strengths while teaching them how to cultivate the areas that need work. By modeling persistence and a solid work ethic, Coach Kabiru’s students learn to apply these behaviors to their game when they are fresh and also in tense match situations. Our son had some injury setbacks and Coach Kabiru turned up the creativity and helped him work on other aspects of his game so he emerged stronger in the end. Coaches play an integral role in your child’s life and we are blessed and fortunate that Sebastian has had an opportunity to develop under Coach Kabiru’s guidance. Our only regret is that we didn’t start working with him sooner. His tennis-specific results speak volumes but Coach really hones in on what is truly important at the end of the day and for that reason he is Family. Thank you Coach Kabiru!

Words cannot express how far Jade has come with her tennis Coach K. When we started I think she was #63 in the state. 1 Star in tennis recruit, not much confidence in her game. Now she is ranked #10 in the state, 4 star in the spring, and her game has exploded! This comes from practicing at lest 6 days a week and her private lessons. Kabiru challenges her everyday, and makes sure she has matches every week. He has treated us like family for over 10 years. Now Jade is going to college on a full D1 scholarship. I can’t thank coach K enough for his patience and hands on training. He’s always bee there for her. He has taken the kids to national tennis matches when needed. The best coach ever! Jade will continue to be his student even through college as much as she can. Thank You!!!
